Possehl is a diversified, globally active technology group. With around 13,000 employees in more than 30 countries, we recently generated consolidated sales of more than 4.4 billion euros. This makes the Possehl Group one of the most important privately managed companies in Germany. The name “Possehl” stands for entrepreneurship, diversity, innovation and responsibility – and has done so for almost 175 years.
The Possehl Group currently operates in ten largely autonomously managed divisions which are economically independent of each other. The Group’s portfolio includes a vast number of so-called Hidden Champions: companies holding globally leading positions in their respective markets. Our main focus is on industrial production companies. We employ some 13,000 people worldwide.
We promise our Group companies sufficient leeway for development – through a high degree of managerial autonomy and the support of our Holding company. We are growing because our companies continue to develop successfully.

As a Group of companies focussing on economic success, L. Possehl & Co. mbH is embedded in a non-profit context. For over 100 years, the Lübeck-based Possehl Foundation has been the Group’s sole shareholder. The foundation manages the proceeds that the Possehl Group pays out annually and uses the funds to exclusively support non-profit aims in accordance with the purpose of the foundation.
