Possehl – Active across the globe, for the benefit of the City of Lübeck
Currently comprising ten divisions, the Possehl Group is present with its own companies in more than 30 countries on all five continents. The Group’s divisions are deliberately run independently of each other; they are managed autonomously and enjoy a great deal of entrepreneurial freedom in their operative decision-making. The Lübeck-based Management Holding L. Possehl & Co. mbh forms the common umbrella for all Group companies and defines the Group’s overarching objectives and strategies. The earnings achieved through the Group companies’ global entrepreneurial efforts are channelled towards the Management Holding by means of profit distributions and finally provided to the Group’s sole shareholder, the Possehl Foundation, to serve exclusively non-profit and charitable purposes in the City of Lübeck.
